Dr. Tim Edsell
Superintendent
Clark Pleasant Community School Corporation
Tim Edsell serves as the superintendent of Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation in
Whiteland, Indiana. CPCSC is a very diverse and growing school corporation with approximately 7,000 students, 1,000 employees, and over 65 different nationalities represented.
He has served as an Indiana public school superintendent for 13 years with previous appointments at Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation, Anderson Community Schools and Northeastern Wayne Schools.
During his tenure, he has been able to improve academic performance on an annual basis, led several multi-faceted construction projects, implemented comprehensive master strategic plans, financed one-to-one technological devices to enhance student learning, created a diverse marketing plan to attract hundreds of transfer tuition students which annually increased student enrollment, promoted K-12 STEAM courses, competitive Robotics, and eSports teams, and facilitated a successful and state-recognized Farm-to-Table program.
Before becoming a superintendent, he enjoyed five years as an Indiana high school principal. During his tenure, this school received national and statewide recognition, including the following:
- 2006-07 National Blue Ribbon School Award
- Indiana Four Star School Award for four consecutive years,
- and 2009 “Head of the Class” Indiana Chamber of Commerce Best Buys’ School.
His 31 years as an educator also includes six years as an assistant high school principal, a math teacher for seven years, a
head football coach for four years, and an assistant football and baseball coach at various school
corporations.
Additionally, for the past 12 years, he has served as an adjunct college professor teaching a variety of educational leadership and principal preparation courses.
He loves spending quality time with his wife, three daughters, son-in-law and grandsons. He also enjoys watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions, exercising, golfing and fishing.
